Eagle-eyed Reddit users have noticed something isn’t right with Overwatch 2’s support hero Lucio.
It looks like Lucio can be seen through the walls of Overwatch 2’s Illios map if he’s wearing the Snowfox winter skin – an old but distinctive cosmetic that was added in the first Overwatch. You can see the telltale glow in a screenshot (opens in new tab) posted on Reddit by user FidgetSpinnetMan.
More users have spoken out in the comments to say that this happened to them while wearing the skin. Others found the funny side of this statement, saying that the screenshot with the small spec and red circle looked less like an image of an Overwatch bug and more like an image of a UFO conspiracy.
gone with the wind
Since the release of Overwatch 2 in early October, two damage heroes have been removed from the game and reworked due to bugs. Torbjorn was released back into the wild after Blizzard fixed a glitch that allowed him to extend his overload ability. We are yet to see the robotic Bastion tower return after being doomed for a serious bug that let the players bomb the map.
The removal of two main heroes changed the dynamics of Overwatch 2’s competitive play, as they both act as counters for other characters. Torbjorn, for example, with its auto-firing turret, is a great counter to the speedy Lucio. So, in his absence, Lucio’s players have enjoyed competitive Torbjorn and turret-free matches for the past few weeks; must be nice.
Now the tables are turned, and Lucio can be sent on vacation to the Blizzard rework station. Finally, I can feel safe beside the edges again without the prospect of being kicked by a Lucius.
Even though Lucio doesn’t get kicked out for reworks, I can’t say this bug is game-breaking for people who want to play Lucio. First, you can simply change your skin. This can be done by going to the hero gallery on the main page of the game, choosing Lucio and selecting another skin at the top. If you are already in a game, you can change your skin after choosing Lucio by clicking on the skin picker in the upper right corner of the screen.
With his wall-mounting ability and speed-boosting power, Lucio is an incredibly mobile character who can boost his team’s movement capabilities. As a support, he can change the course of a match if you play your cards right.
So even if you can see this support hero coming, that doesn’t mean you’ll be able to kill him or even know where he’s going next. It is too fast and agile to be defined and predicted.
