After nine years of waiting, the Saints Row reboot is almost here, and if you’re traveling to Santo Ileso next week, you might be wondering when exactly it will be released.
We’ve already spent considerable time with Volition’s Saints Row reboot, which ditches the shenanigans of Saints Row 4 for a more serious tone, though you can still humiliate mobsters on door pots. While we don’t think there’s anything that challenges Watch Dogs or GTA 5 in our hands-on preview, we do commend its character creator, Boss Factory, calling it a powerful tool for impersonation.
Now, we’ve learned exactly when we’ll be able to play the full version. There’s no early access entry here with Saints Row, each platform will launch on the same day, August 23, but if you’re wondering what specific time it will be available, here’s what Volition told us.
Saints Row Reboot Release Time
Unlike Madden 23’s release time, Saints Row does not have a simultaneous release time. As confirmed by Volition via twitter, will be released at midnight on August 23 in all time zones. So while that means you’ll be playing a lot sooner if you live in Australia than, say, the US, it keeps things simple.
Even better, if you pre-ordered Saints Row on Xbox platforms, Volition has confirmed that you can pre-order it now. If you’ve opted for a PlayStation version, it’s not yet available, but fear not. Volition claims it will release 48 hours before launch, so set that to August 21st.
Saints Row is coming to most current-gen consoles, skipping Nintendo Switch, but coming to PS5, Xbox Series X | S and Google Stadia. While Volition confirms that pre-loading isn’t possible “due to some technical stuff,” it will also be available on PC via the Epic Games Store, alongside next-gen editions on PS4 and Xbox One.
